Private Party Booking Terms and General Info

BOOKING TERMS – All Private Party Bookings:

1.    All prices include a non-refundable $30 booking fee / admin charge

2.    Prices are valid for all parties held between 9am & 7 pm. A 20% surcharge applies to any party that starts before 9am or finishes after 7pm.

3.    A 20% surcharge applies for all public holidays.

4.    A travel charge may be imposed for bookings outside the main Canberra region.

5.    December bookings add 10% due to demand at this time of year.

Payment Terms:

A.    When booking is made more than 1 week in advance:

1.    By credit card – 50% at time of booking, 50% due on the Wednesday prior

2.    By EFT or cheque – full payment within 7 days of booking

B.    When booking is made 4 - 7 days in advance:

1.    By credit card - payment in full at the time of booking

2.    By EFT – payment in full within 1 day of booking

3.    By cheque – not allowed

C.    When booking is made 1 – 3 days in advance:

1.    Full payment by credit card at the time of booking only

Cancellation Fees:  

For bookings cancelled for any reason

A.    Within 3 days of making the booking:

                1.    Provided the booking is more than 7 days away – No charge

B.    In all other instances:

                1.     More than 14 days notice:          $30

                2.     4 –14 days notice:          50% of party value

                3.     0 -3 days notice:           100% of party value

C.    Any refunds due will be paid the week following the cancellation and will be either credited to the card the payment was made or sent via cheque in the mail for EFT and cheque payments.

D.    Postponing party to another date – One penalty free postponement will be allowed per booking provided the booking is paid in full and the new date is within 3 months.

General Booking Info:

1.   Your party services have been designed to accommodate the number of kids suggested when the booking was made. If you end up with more kids you may miss out on one or more activities. As our pricing is calculated on a time basis not on the services covered the full payment would still be due.

2.   If your party has face painting included the gecko worker will need a table and 2 chairs (per painter). Please have this set up prior to your party start time.

3.   If your party has party games included you will need as much area as possible for the kids to play in. Please clear/tidy your backyard (best option - weather permitting) or clear as much space as possible inside if it’s too cold/wet to go outside.

4.   Prizes – generally the games we play focus on participation rather then winning (or losing). Some kids haven’t grasped the idea of losing yet and sometimes the birthday child thinks they should win every game at their party. We would rather just promote fun.

5.   Please also make sure pets are put away for the duration of the party. They may be perfectly fine with the kids but they can still get in the way or might be injured by an over exuberant or distracted child.

6.   If your party day ends up being wet, the services booked will still go ahead inside or in an under cover area.
