The Gecko Gang is always on the lookout for energetic and enthusiastic people to join our team. We have different jobs available involving a range of activities from hands on entertaining utilising face painting, games and balloon modeling, jumping castle supervising and assisting with castle set ups/pack ups. See below for more info about each position and what to do if you are interested in applying.
These are people who have heaps of energy and patience to deal directly with kids at birthday parties and other events. They utilize activities including face painting, games, balloon modeling and jumping castles to keep the kids active and happy. Gecko Workers can attend a party of 10 kids just by themselves right through to major corporate events involving 10 or more Gecko Workers at the event. We pay good rates plus a travel allowance. Ideally would suit teaching or childcare students and people with experience dealing with younger kids either through family connections or other experiences. Training sessions for new gecko workers are offered twice a year in March and August and are done over a period of 3 weekends. During this time on the job training can also commence.

Castle supervisors are required to watch jumping castles at many events making sure they keep the kids safe and organized and that they keep the castle and surrounding area in good order. Training is done in theory and then on the job. Good pay rate plus a travel allowance is applicable to this job. Successful applicants for this position may be able to take part in a future Gecko Worker training session if they so desire and they meet the eligibility requirements of that role.

NOT HIRING AT THE MOMENT.
Castle delivery & set up people are required to collect the trailer preloaded with jumping castles from the warehouse and then deliver them to various sites accross Canberra. Most of these deliveries will be to private addresses. These people must have a high regard for all the equipment as well as the needs of the customer. Minimum rate paid per day then additional pay per castle after. The initial contract will be primarily for work in the lead up to Christmas - our busiest time of the year. However, there may be opportunities for anyone interested in continuing the role into the next year.
